Graffiti Font Generator

Preview 12 graffiti fonts with your own text and export a transparent PNG in one click.

This graffiti font generator turns your own words into downloadable lettering. Start with a short word, compare the twelve previews, then adjust the fill, outline and shadow. Each style uses a particular combination of letter shapes and effects, so the same word can feel rounded, sharp, handwritten or dimensional. You can keep experimenting before choosing which image to save.

Compare 12 graffiti font styles

Use the live sample wall above to judge appearance, then use this table to narrow your choice. A label describes a visual treatment, not a promise to reproduce every artist's version of that style. In particular, the Wildstyle option is a handwritten approximation; it does not construct custom interlocking letters. Try the same word across styles so differences in shape remain easy to compare.

A font supplies shapes; a generator builds an image

A font defines how characters look. This generator combines those shapes with outlines, color, spacing and effects, then exports a finished picture. That distinction matters when planning your next step: a picture preserves the appearance, but its lettering cannot be edited as live text in another app. Change the wording here before exporting a new version.

For a single initial, focus on the recognizable outline and the empty space inside the letter. For a whole word, look at how neighboring letters fit together. A highly decorative initial can work well in isolation while becoming harder to read when repeated across a long name. Keep the final viewing size in mind when comparing the options.

Plan lettering for your project

For a tattoo concept, use the export as a starting reference and discuss line weight, placement and long-term readability with your artist. For a T-shirt, test the design against the garment color and ask the printer about resolution before placing an order. Fine details that look clear on a bright screen may need a simpler treatment for the intended material.

For a social profile, inspect the name at thumbnail size and keep important strokes away from the crop. For a logo concept, compare a clear version alongside a decorative one, and check the name's availability separately. A striking image does not establish exclusive rights. Save a transparent PNG for layouts where you need to place the lettering over another background.

Graffiti font generator FAQ

Is this graffiti font generator free?

Yes, you can preview all twelve styles and download watermarked images for free. You do not need to subscribe to compare lettering, change colors or try another word. Pro adds watermark-free, higher-resolution delivery and batch exports. Check the pricing page before subscribing so you can compare the delivered files with what your project needs.

Can I copy these graffiti fonts into another app?

You can download the lettering as an image and insert that image into a design app. The decorative font shapes do not become ordinary copyable text: copying your input copies the original characters. Use the exported image when you want the same appearance across apps, and keep your original wording separately for captions or accessible descriptions.

Which download format should I choose?

Choose PNG when you need a transparent background or crisp lettering edges. JPG works well for a design with a solid background, while WebP can be useful for supported web workflows. Check your destination app before choosing. A transparent background is a generator setting; selecting PNG alone does not remove the background from your design.

Can I use the lettering on a T-shirt or logo?

The bundled fonts use open licenses that permit commercial image use, including design work. You still need rights to your wording, logos and other assets, and a generated name is not a trademark clearance. Pro pays for service features rather than exclusive font ownership. For printing, ask your printer whether the exported dimensions suit the intended physical size.

Does the generator install fonts on my computer?

No, the generator lets you create lettering in your browser without installing a desktop font package. The downloaded result is an image, not an editable font file. Save your wording and settings if you expect to revise the design later. Changing individual letter outlines or preparing a vector production file requires a suitable design workflow outside this tool.

How can I make a long word easier to read?

Start with Block or a simple rounded style, then reduce the letter size until the whole word fits comfortably. Use a strong difference between fill and outline colors, and keep the shadow shallow while checking the spelling. Preview at the size people will actually see. If decorative details crowd together, try a shorter phrase or a less elaborate style.
